DC: Pollinators

the garden fairy
closeups

For the Drawing Challenge with the theme 'Pollinators.'  I'm not certain this piece fits the theme but I think pollinators make things grow and I guess this garden fairy somehow makes things grow wherever she walks. At least, I hope the idea is there in this piece.

  1. Oh my Lissa, this is so very lovely. The details, the colors, the grace of lines. Love the butterfly wings on the back of her heart. I am not big on tattoos, but once i saw a young man with wings like this on his back, much larger and i really liked them.
    Thank you for joining us!

  10. I think it's absolutely perfect Lissa. Where would we be without garden fairies anyway. The rest of the pollinators would miss her and sulk. :D Really lovely.

    1. I like to think garden fairies can also be actual gardeners, at all, not everything grows by itself.'

  19. I love this drawing too. Love the interpretation for pollinators. So very you too with the growing theme and the hair--all growing long, actually. I find that very interesting about you, Lissa. Wha does it say abut you? You like growth! Do you ever garden too?
I had to laugh at the angle wings on teh back. My daughter, who is gorgeous, truly, jst got a tattoo like this. And she knows me so well--"why cover yourself up when you are already so beautiful?" She did it in honour of our service men who have fallen. I myself, regardless of intentions, do not like tattoos.

    1. no, I do not garden, I do not know how, honestly, just trying to keep a plant alive is hard task for me, truly, I do not think I should start gardening any time soon.

me too on the tattoo, I cannot understand how those people could stand the pain when getting a tattoo, plus, when you wan to remove, it leaves a mark.

thanks for leaving so many comments. I wish I get into the same habit but somehow I find it hard to leave even a simple comment these days. so, thank you.

      have a lovely day.
